So, I have joined another weight loss challenge and I am very excited. This one began last Thursday and will continue for 9 weeks. It is my intention to win this one hands down! I started a new exercise routine last night using a balancing ball and weights, along with my cardio walking/running. I also intend to get back on track with my Couch 2 5k again! :) I want to be able to run!
I have also decided to begin my food journal again. It really seemed to work well for me when I begain this journey back in October. But, I stopped logging and then after our cruise in April, pretty much stopped 'dieting' altogether, so I have remained idle in my weight loss. So, I figured that I will start logging everything that I put in my mouth once again, so I can hold myself accountable! :)
By my scales at home, I have lost 4 pounds since last Thursday. I will post the official number when I weigh in tomorrow evening, but I am feeling pretty confident! :)

Changes...
Well, so far I am off to a good start on my new beginning! This journey is really about my weight loss, but today, I have also decided I want to start couponing! Crazy, right!?! But, I am thinking that I could learn to eat healthier and save money at the same time, and since I am making a new start, what better time to try it out, right?
The local grocery store here does double coupons and sometimes triple so I am excited to see how much money I can save. Times are tough right now, so I figure anything I can do to help can't be bad! ;) I just wonder if I will end up buying stuff that I normally wouldn't buy only because I have a coupon for it? I mean, on some products I prefer the "name brand" like mac & cheese and such, but other things, I am ok with getting the store brand because it's usually cheaper. But then again, maybe the name brand stuff will be as cheap, if not cheaper with a coupon...won't know 'til I try!
A friend of mine coupons and she posted a pic of what they had gotten that evening. A table full of stuff for $15! Yeah, that is motivation! We will see how it goes!

It Re-Starts Today!
I actually started this journey in October of 2010, but for the past several months I have kind of remained idle. I haven't been gaining, but at the same time, I haven't been losing, and I am still a long way from my goal.
What has triggered my motivation now is the new show Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition. It shows the transformation of a person battling weight loss over a year each episode. After watching last night, I know that I can do this. So, today is a new day and the first day of my new and better life!
I intend to keep a journal of my progress and feelings in hope to use these as motivation to keep me going and to help me to stay on track. I would like to lose 100 pounds in a year! By the time I turn 40 (1 year and 9 months from now) I want to be at the appropriate weight so that I am at a healthy BMI! I am happy to be re-starting and I am super excited! :)
